Beauty Independent Launches C-Suite Summit In Las Vegas Next Month
Beauty Independent is introducing C-Suite Summit, a two-day executive retreat designed exclusively for leaders scaling the beauty industry’s most ambitious brands.
Taking place April 7 to 8 at the Durango Resort in Las Vegas, the invitation-only summit will serve as a strategic “base camp” for executives from brands with $20 million to $100 million in annual revenues and laser-focused on the nuanced challenges—and immense opportunities—facing both founder-led and operator-run companies. The format blends high-level strategic content with granular, execution-oriented peer learning across functional areas like operations, finance, marketing, retail, and leadership.
Beauty Independent publisher and Indie Beauty Media Group founder Nader Naeymi-Rad says, “We wanted this to be an intimate event, one where executive teams can meet and learn from one another as hands-on operators.”
He adds that, as beauty brands ascend from early traction to real scale, they face a distinct set of challenges that can stall momentum if not adroitly addressed. “Leading a brand at the $20M+ mark is especially challenging; it’s the difficult teenage years of a brand’s lifecycle, with lots of painful changes needed to enable growth–from assembling a professional leadership team to building infrastructure, fundraising and managing a Board,” points out Naeymi-Rad. “Plus everything–from channels to competitive forces–is constantly changing, often requiring fundamental reexaminations of the value creation plan.”
Growth-stage brands must also navigate shifting consumer expectations around sustainability and transparency, build trust while entering new retail channels and maintain agility in a fast-moving market. “It’s a complex balancing act: grow quickly, build brand equity, but be capital efficient,” says Naeymi-Rad. “The C-Suite Summit was created to support exactly this moment—offering practical guidance, peer benchmarking, and space for executive teams to align on best practices.”
To guide the experience at C-Suite Summit, Beauty Independent has assembled a “faculty” of veteran beauty founders and operators. They will help lead candid, small group conversations that cut through theory and get into what’s actually working—and not—on the ground.
Among the faculty members are Suveen Sahib, Founder and CEO of K18; Elana Drell-Szyfer, CEO of Revive Skincare; Nicole Fourgoux, Operating Partner, Stride Consumer Partners and former SVP of Business Development and Acquisitions at L’Oreal; Andrew Ross, senior advisor and Venture Partner, XRC Ventures and former EVP Strategy and Business Development at Estee Lauder.
Housed in a retreat-style setting with an intimate conference hall, breakout rooms and thoughtfully programmed social events, C-Suite Summit is structured to foster connection and lasting community. Attendees will engage in data-backed benchmarking, growth-stage breakout sessions and team reflection time, plus curated content tailored by pre-event onboarding surveys.
